At Pinnacle Learners, all lessons are conducted one-on-one, allowing tutors to tailor each session to the student’s individual learning style, pace, and academic goals. Beyond improving marks, we take a holistic approach to learning, focusing on building confidence, study habits, and independent thinking. Our aim is not only to help students succeed in their current assessments, but to develop the skills and mindset needed for long-term academic growth.

We offer tutoring for Maths, English, Legal Studies and Business Studies for Years 7–12. We also offer tutoring for upper primary (Years 3–6) and for other subjects (Chemistry, History, Biology etc) upon request. Our tutors can assist with general mentoring, homework support, study skills, and exam preparation.

Yes, our tutoring is completely aligned with the NSW curriculum and your child’s schoolwork. Lessons are personalised and flexible, meaning that students can focus on any topics they are finding difficult in their class content, and prepare for exams.

Our tutors are high-achieving university students and graduates with 95+ ATARs and strong subject expertise. Every tutor goes through a rigorous selection process - we don’t just look for academic results but tutors who are motivating and able to explain concepts calmly and clearly so every student feels supported.

After an initial consultation call, we carefully match each student with a tutor based on their academic needs, personality, and learning style. A strong tutor-student fit is one of the biggest drivers of progress, so we take matching seriously to ensure sessions are productive and comfortable.

Each session is 1:1 and structured around the student’s priorities. Tutors initially unpack the student's goals for their studies and build a plan based on their weaker areas. They go through concepts, focusing on practical skills and application like essay writing and past papers until the student feels confident. Over time, sessions also build study habits and independent learning skills, not just short-term memorisation.

After the trial lesson, we check in with both the student and family to ensure the tutor is the right fit. If everyone is happy to continue, we schedule a regular weekly session at a consistent time. If it doesn’t feel like the right match, we can organise an alternative tutor.

Finding the right tutor-student match is important. If at any stage you feel the tutor isn’t the right fit, please let us know and we can arrange an alternative tutor. Our goal is to ensure each student feels comfortable and supported so they can get the most out of their lessons.

Sessions typically run for 60–90 minutes, depending on the student’s year level, subject, and learning needs. We recommend at least 1 hour per subject to get the most value out of sessions, but can do longer sessions for students needing more support.

After the trial lesson, students enrol for the school term. Consistent weekly lessons are essential for real progress, and term enrolment helps students build momentum and confidence rather than 'cramming' before exams. We also offer once off lessons for extra practice before exams.

Depending on tutor and student availability, we can often organise a trial lesson within the same week. Once the trial lesson is completed and confirmed, weekly sessions can begin immediately.

Yes, we offer both online and in-person sessions. All face-to-face sessions are held at our office in Rozelle (3/758 Darling Street) - a 5 minute walk from Victoria Road and a 15 minute bus from Town Hall. Our students have access to a quiet space, whiteboard, printer and high-quality resources, meaning they get the most out of every session without the interruptions they might face at home. For families too far from Rozelle, we offer interactive online lessons through Google Meet.

Yes. We provide regular feedback on your child’s progress and areas for improvement. We also send through mid-year and end-of-year progress reports summarising development and key focus areas. We regularly check in with parents to see how your child is finding the lessons and encourage families to raise any questions or concerns at any time.

Parents are also always welcome to come in for the first or last five minutes of their childs lesson to briefly speak with the tutor if they would like an update on how things are going.
